Black, white, navy and blue also weaved its way through the the colour-blocked cut-out evening gowns and slinky embellished mini dresses. Elie's SS13 Couture range follows his evergreen template of ethereal sheer gowns smothered with floral appliqués and the most intricate of crystal embroideries. Dresses were doused in a syrupy palette of ice blue, lavender, ivory and honeycomb, then turning more dramatic in shades of vivid red and black. Pocketed ballroom skirts and floor-sweeping capes brought a certain modernity to the princess ensembles. Slick satin trouser suits with sharply-cut cropped jackets and waistcoats were seen in abundance, alongside ethnically patterned dresses and beaded peplum tops. A sense of demure femininity was advocated through long-sleeved dresses with high necklines in variations of virtuous white. The season is beautifully shaded in emerald green, turquoise and carnation pink with whispers of lilac, grey, maple and rose. Ornamented with lavish gold embroidery and shimmering sequins, his impeccably fit evening gowns enchanted with their sensual femininity. A blush of peachy coral and oceanic blue was seen alongside cloudy whites, metallic gold and pewter. Black pinstriped ensembles boasted genuine 24 carat gold thread in this ode to gilded opulence, which also featured architectural dresses inspired by domes of glass. Peaches and cream, strawberry kisses, honey almond and pastille pink coloured in the frothy evening gowns and lace lingerie inspired dresses. Bustier gowns and ribboned empire line looks were whirled in pleated chiffon, tiers of tulle and airy organza. Sumptuous velvets were underpinned by sheer chiffons, silk mousseline and lace, the pussycat neck bow acting as a leitmotif. The ethereal looks were festooned with dainty floral appliqués and a flurry of organza petals. The <i>very</i> V-neck was imposed upon most of the alluring outfits, demanding attention in true diva style. The palette was made up of crisp whites, glossy golds and sandy beige. Sharply-cut silhouettes displayed asymmetrical necklines, peplum-waist shirts, body-hugging mini dresses with high slits and leisurely jumpsuits with tapered pants. The beguiling looks were furnished with rows of heavy gold chains, metallic belts, geometric beading and shiny Louboutin heels. Midnight blue laid down the foundation of the couture collection, with the steadfast set of scarlet gowns following and a dusting of mink, golden caramel and yellow. Sheer chiffons and crepes added a lightness to range, contrasting the heavier velvets, cashmere and brocades. The jumpsuit is no longer your lounge-out-in look, it has been restyled with the utmost decadence in flashy beaded black and gold. The ingenious designer finds new and unique ways to drape gorgeous fluid fabrics, this season in burgundy, cream, sepia and black. Rolland adds drama to his form-fitting silhouettes with shards of silicone, feathered trusses and projected circular shapes, masterly crafted onto mermaid skirts. Waists were accented with unusual belts and models wore quirky semi-covered gloves. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Long flowing capes framed the sleekly tailored pantsuits and floor-sweeping gowns.
